6.    Once you have named your project, defined it, and clicked on that blue check, the Sims3 will now package up your finished and saved customization and stick it right inside your export folder for you to claim and upload later.  Give the game a few moments to accomplish this task and you will be rewarded for your patience with a nice little note telling you whether your export was successful or not.

Saving Your Project

-Done-

Note:

If you plan on sharing your custom content on the Sims3 Exchange, then there is no need to make PreViews as the launcher provides images for your uploaded content automatically. For fans who plan to share on a personal FanPage, you will find a complete and illustrated tutorial on how to create attractive PreViews in the Method 2 section of this tutorial.

Success!!!

If your export was successful, do a little happy dance, then go on to ‘Sharing Your Project!

Failure???

If your export failed, stop here and try again. If it fails again, SAVE YOUR GAME, quit your game, and restart your game, then try it again. If it fails yet again, I advise you to visit the Sims3 official HELP page! I regret that I can help you no further as I have NEVER had an export fail.

Reasons I might guess for your failure could be…

·        You have another Sims program running that might be using your export folder?

·        You stole your sister’s raspberry HubbaBubba and now she’s holding your export files hostage until you pay her back???

·        Your fingers are sticky from eating that whole box of Twinkies while playing the Sims3 all night long, and you pushed the wrong key somewhere and it stuck?
